So, Dan Griffin and I live within 15 miles of one another and move in some of the same circles, but we’ve never met (that we know of). I retweeted him on Twitter and went “Hey, where in Alaska?” and he said “North Pole. You?” and it sort of went from there. Welcome to the blog, Dan. Tell us something about yourself.

I was born and raised in Maine, and resided there until 1990, when I moved to Alaska at the age of 27. In fact, in my mind I believe that I’m still 27! (Lela laughs and says “My husband too!”) I worked for a number of different companies over the years, but now work for a Government contract company called International Auto Logistics. We ship and receive POV’s (personally owned vehicles) for military personal who leave and enter Alaska via military orders. I have been married for 17…
